50 goals in 137 matches

With a contract until June 2026 with Erik ten Hag’s Red Devils, the 23-year-old player has signed for the German club on a six-month loan, without an option to buy. It is worth recalling that the Londoner made a name for himself in the public eye during his prolific spell at Borussia Dortmund between 2017 and 2021, playing 137 matches in all competitions including 104 Bundesliga games, with a tally of 50 goals and 64 assists, before his sale to Manchester United for 85 million euros. With Borussia Dortmund, Jadon Sancho won the 2021 DFB-Pokal but was unable to win the league title.

« Feels like coming home »

Absent from the field for several months, the new number 10 of BVB broke his silence about leaving Manchester United and returning to Signal Iduna Park, in an interview with Borussia Dortmund’s official media. « When I entered the locker room today, I felt like I was coming home. I know the club inside out, I’ve always been very close to the supporters here and I never lost contact with the officials. I can’t wait to see my teammates again, step on the field, play football with a smile, make assists, score goals, and help the club qualify for the Champions League. »
